Palo Verde Maintenance Intern

This position may require access to and/or use of information subject to control under the Department of Energy's Part 810 Regulations (10 CFR Part 810), the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) (15 CFR Parts 730 through 774), or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) (22 CFR Chapter I, Subchapter M Part 120) (collectively, "U.S. Export Control Laws"). A written paper and pencil test will be administered.

The Maintenance Internship Program is a 12-month program running from January to December.
Interns complete training and designated college courses on industry-related topics throughout the program. Under the guidance of supervisors and assigned mentors, interns will acquire broad work experience in maintenance by performing a variety of tasks of limited scope and complexity. Interns will rotate through various work assignments, including work in radiation areas, especially during outages.
In addition to work experience, this program will help participants learn about the duties and responsibilities of various maintenance crafts in order to help them to make career decisions.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
