Water Resources Auxiliary Operator Trainee

The Auxiliary Operator Trainee is expected to complete qualifications within assigned time frames. Operates mechanical and electrical equipment for which qualification has been completed for Water Resources (WR)
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or GED. Must pass EEI POSS testing. Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license. Water/Wastewater experience, technical Water/Wastewater program certification or associate degree in Water/Wastewater preferred. ADEQ Level 1 Water and Wastewater certification preferred.
Nuclear requirement: Any PVGS employee may be called upon to serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization (ERO) and will be expected to fulfill their obligation as an ERO member. This is a condition of employment at PVGS. Roles and Responsibilities defined in Policy 1503 and implementing policy guide are applicable to all PVGS employees.
Any PVGS employee may be called upon to support a refueling or short-notice outage. This includes line roles and responsibilities as necessary to execute outage activities.
Major Accountabilities
1) Completes qualification to operate equipment within assigned time frame.
2) Operates all major and auxiliary plant equipment at Water Resources in areas for which qualification is completed.
3) Monitors, reads and records instruments and equipment in areas for which qualification is completed. Notifies WR Control Operator of any problems.
4) Communicates with the WR Control Room regarding WR plant status and conditions on an ongoing basis in areas where qualifications have been completed.
5) Implements station safety tagging and clearance procedures to ensure safe working conditions for personnel and equipment.
6) Maintains awareness and understanding of: plant procedures, government regulations, system operation and design changes.
7) Maintains qualifications per Palo Verde Training continuing training programs when qualifications are complete in one or more areas.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
